Building a Personal Practice

There are many forms of meditation and they are all effective, but barriers of entry still remain which keep people from practicing. My mission is to reduce the barriers of entry which is why I created this page and a step-by-step guide to building a simple, yet impactful personal practice.

Step 1) Make any adjustments to your space to achieve maximum comfort (lighting, temperature, blanket, seating, etc).

Step 2) Press play on the Singing Bowl Recording. (Headphones or a nice speaker are recommended)

Step 3) Light the beeswax candle.

Step 4) Set your intention. Your intention should be stated in the present tense. Examples: My intention is to process what weights on my heart and mind. My intention is that my wrist is healthy and whole. My intention is to be in a state of compassion for my sister.

Step 5) Move the Selenite Crystal around your head and body as if you were scrubbing with a washcloth, but without touching. (Notice any sensations that you feel especially as you explore your head)

Step 6) Close your eyes and take 10 rounds of slow, deep breathes.

Step 7) Feel and acknowledge whatever is presented to you during your practice so that you can process it and let it go.

Step 8) Trust that whatever happens during your practice be it thoughts, emotions, sensations, memories, etc is perfect and 100% valid.
